With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Ira Gross of Independence, Kansas, who passed away on October 18, 2023 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gross, Sr. (Little John) and Phyllis Wright (Gross). He is survived by: his wife Bertha; his daughter Lynn Hill; his stepchildren, Kendall Wright (Dawn), Karmin Thompson (Gaylan), Krag Wright (Jolitta) and Kim Beard (Kevin); his brother Dan Gross (Cathy); his nephew Mark Ferrell; his niece Jerri Ann Ferrell; and his great grandchild Little John.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of Elk City State Park sent to the Webb & Rodrick Chapel and Crematory, 306 W. Main Street, Independence Kansas.
