He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hickel and Katherine Hickel (Krom); his wife Jolene Marie Schmidt; and his brother Gary Lee Hickel. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Lee Hickel and Angela Hickel Durland (David); his sister Patricia Green; and his granddaughter Emma Durland.
