He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Maxine Alford (Wiggins); and his parents, Ralph Alford and Dorothy Alford (Chrisman). He is survived by: his former wife Shirley Alford (McDaniel); his children, Michael Dean (Debbie Lee), Gerald Scott (Debbie Ann), Douglas Kirk, Venessa Jean Alford (Cook) of Independence and Lori Ann Oldweiler (Alford); and his stepchildren, Dale McDaniel and Janet Maritt. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and one step great-grandchild.
