He was predeceased by: his son Wesley; and his siblings, James Savage and Louise Temar. He is survived by: his wife Alice Savage; his sons, Troy of Independence and Doug of Blue Springs; his grandson Justin; his great grandchild Lily; and his sisters, Dorothy Rains of McRae, Helen Martinez of McRae and Murlie Branscum of McRae. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the American Lung Association.
