It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Alice H Sturgeon Wilson in Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on December 10, 2023, at the age of 106, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William C. (Alice M. Herren) and Nickerson; her husbands, Eugene Sturgeon of Zenith, KS and Bruce Wilson; her son Dale Sturgeon; her son-in-law Alvin Wiesenthal; her grandsons, Roy Lee and Rex Wiesenthal; her stepdaughter Patricia Wilson; and her stepsister Mary Alice Hobbs Ditgen.
She is survived by: her daughters, Judy Wiesenthal of El Paso, TX and Elaine Cloyd (John Mitchell) of Hutchinson; her stepchildren, Clarence Wilson of Lawrence, KS, Kenneth Wilson (Shirley) of Hutchinson, KS and Rosanne Wilson of Topeka, KS; her grandsons, Brian Cloyd (McKenzie) of Baldwin, KS, Carl Wiesenthal of El Paso, TX and Mark Wiesenthal (Rachel) of Meadow, TX; her stepgrandchildren, Tammy Moore (Sean) of Hutchinson, Robert Wilson (Ann) of Salem, SC, Gerald Wilson (Kendra) of Fairplay, CO, Jayme Bennett (Aaron) of Tonganoxie, KS, Darin, James Wilson of Hutchinson and Matthew Wilson (Amy) of Miami, OK; her great grandchildren, Lowen, Palmer Cloyd, Amanda, Serina Wiesenthal, Cole, Wyatt Bennett, Calub, Ashlee Wilson, Aiden and Jordan Wilson; and her great great grandchildren, Johann and Emil Wiesenthal. She is also survived by daughters were good friends.
During COVID, I moved to Waldron Place to complete my life.
Memorials may be made to the Reno County Food Bank, Nickerson United Methodist Church, or Reno County Crime Stoppers, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
