He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis F. Pitts and Betty L. Pitts (Morris); his son William F. Pitts, Jr.; his granddaughter Shelby Olson; and his sister Patricia Turner.
He is survived by: his wife Jerrie Ann Davis of Hutchinson; his daughters, Niki Pitts-Silhan (Ed) of Marion, Cynthia Denton (Ray) of Hutchinson and Shannon Kirk of Hutchinson; and his siblings, Tom Pitts (Earlene) of Buhler, Janeen Hyson (Kenny) of Haven, Joyce Welch of Temple, TX, Deborah Coral (Luis) of Hutchinson, Sam Pitts (Terry) and Jason Pitts (Jennifer) of Burrton. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Elliott Mortuary (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Mi Tierra Banquet Hall (329 N Van Buren St, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Salvation Army, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
