He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Wendel and Bertha Wendel (Steimel); his wife Claudia Kay Greever-Wendel; and his sisters, Audrey Puckett and Catherine Birzer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Angela Kimball, Tamara Thomas and Leslie Pedersen; and his brother Jerry Wendel.
