He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Long and Ola Long (Price); his siblings, Don, Fred, Phyllis and Ray Long; and his granddaughter Demi Long.

He is survived by: his wife Cleta Dewey; his son Mark Long; his grandson Josh Long; his stepchildren, Melanie Chappel, Monica Bornholdt (Jarrod), James Bussell (Tricia), Julie and Amy Owen; his son-in-law Jon Chappel; his stepgrandchildren, Jonathan Chappel, Jerome, Jake Love, Macy Spencer (Corey Mahoney), Maleigha Bornholdt, Vanessa and Tristen Mendoza; his niece Diana Tucker (Dennis); and his nephews, Monte Long (Carla), Fred Long (Elaine), Randy Long (Marla) and Jerald Long (Susan). He is also survived by 8 step-great-grandchildren.
