Rubye Murphy Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rubye Murphy of Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry B. Ediger and Mary Ediger (LetKeman); her husband Willard Murphy; her son-in-law Mike Wilhite; and her siblings, Ella Carrier and Ed Ediger.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Murphy (Pat) of Bedford, TX, Diane Wilhite of Emporia, KS and Donna Peavy (Dick) of Avon Park, FL; and her grandsons, Adam, Ryan Murphy, Jacob and Joshua Jantz.
Rubye was a member of RSVP, delivered Meals on Wheels, volunteered at Good Samaritan Village, and Dillon Living Center.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to First Baptist Church, Hutchinson, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
