She was predeceased by: her parents, Rueben Stapleton and Alice Stapleton (Lewis); her husband William Chronister; her daughter Susie Vollnogel; and her great grandchild Andrew Vollnogel Jr..

She is survived by: her daughter Christine Hoffman (Bill); her grandchildren, Beth Edwards (David) of Hutchinson, Erin Wheeler (Charles) of Hutchinson, Rick Vollnogel (Megan Kennard) of Hutchinson, Julie Vollnogel (Aaron Dennett) of McPherson, Andrew Vollnogel of Salina and John Vollnogel of Hutchinson; her great grandchildren, Grace Edwards, Jackson Edwards, JoLea Wheeler (Jared Sherwin), Vincent Wheeler, Rhiannon Call, Meadow Vollnogel and Oliver Vollnogel; and her brother Robert E. Stapleton of Hutchinson.
