The memory of Rosemary Schmidt of Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on February 24, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Rosemary may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rosemary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Edward and Edith Evans (Bean); her husband Warren Delbert Schmidt; her daughter Karen Schmidt; and her siblings, Edward Evans and Rita Trimble.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Schmidt of Hutchinson, KS and Linda Cesar (Harry) of West Plains, MO. She is also survived by one granddaughter; two great-grandsons; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Salem Church (517 Avenue E, Bushton, KS 67427).
Memorials may be given to RCCA (Rice County Council on Aging) or Good Samaritan Society of Hutchinson in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
