He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Guy Salyer and Vera Salyer (Hickman); and his brother-in-law Garth Kennedy. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Peer; his children, Matt Salyer (Teri) and Jennifer Showers (Mickey); his grandchildren, Gage, Garrett Salyer, Serin Blowers (Aaron), Lauren Showers and Madilyn Showers; and his siblings-in-law, Dr. Gary Peer (Beverly), Carl Peer (Patricia) and Karen Kennedy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Traditions Health or Trinity United Methodist Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
