She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Ruby and Opal Ruby (Epley); her husband Douglas Sands; and her brothers, Steve, Joe and Greg Ruby.
She is survived by: her children, LaDena Sands Dosdall (Gerald) of Wichita and Michael Sands (Sharon) of Lorain, OH; her grandchildren, Bethany Newell (Cliff), Lindsey Long (Grant), Elizabeth Henry (Matt) and Wesley Dosdall (Caitlin); her great grandchildren, Gianna, Zevulun, Luke, Logan and Clayton; her sister Kay Bergen-Potts; her niece Barbara Bergen Whitmore; and her nephew Marc Bergen (Teri).
