It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ofelia Garcia of Hutchinson, Kansas, born in Newton, Kansas, who passed away on April 4, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Severo Rodriguez and Teresa Rodriguez (Grajeda); her husband Rudolf M. Garcia; and her son-in-law Charles Eldredge. She is survived by: her children, Cecilia Eldredge of Hutchinson, Helen Weis (Thomas) of Hutchinson and Rudolf M. Garcia Jr. (Kelly) of Hutchinson; and her sisters, Henrietta Calvillo of Hutchinson and Martha Gomez of Newton. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church or Hospice House of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
