With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael J Howard (Hutchinson, Kansas), born in Shreveport, Louisiana, who passed away on August 17, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Eugene "Gene" and Lillian Margaret Howard (Lockhart); and his brothers, James Andrew Howard, Eugene Mark Howard, Leslie Howard and Timothy Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Ann Ary; his children, Steven Howard (Stephanie), Shane Howard and Sonya Howard; his grandchildren, Bryant Howard, Alissa Johnson, Austin Howard, Joshua Gandham and Ava Gandham; his siblings, Elizabeth Ann Howard Lewis, Margaret Howard Payne Hall, Mary Howard LaFitte (Don), Thomas Howard (Kathy) and Patrick Howard (Brenda); and his sisters-in-law, Cora Howard and Theresa Howard. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or American Legion Lysle Rishel Post #68, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
