He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Gerald and Arlene Thelma Smith (Heldt); and his sisters, Geraline Elliot, Pauline Capps and Connie Hess.
He is survived by: his siblings, Cindy Morales of Lyons, Linda Stover (Jesse) of Sterling, Rodney Smith of Jonesboro, AR, Robert Smith of Hutchinson and Timothy Smith of Hutchinson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
