Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Melvin Floyd Yoder (Hutchinson, Kansas), who passed away at the age of 101, on January 30, 2025. He was predeceased by: his parents, Enos S. Yoder and Lydiann Yoder (Bontrager); his wife Vicky; and his siblings, Sylvia Miller, Mary Kauffman, Homer Yoder, Elnora Cake and Doris Simpson.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Yoder (Kay), Robert L. Yoder, Ron Yoder (Sharon) and Jay Yoder (Lisa); his grandchildren, Bryan Yoder, Darin Yoder, Jake Justice, Jesse Yoder, Jason Yoder, Tonya Vento, Tara Little and Lacey Yoder; and his great grandchildren, Eli Yoder, Lydia Yoder, Vitaliy Stubbs, Ellie Todd, Ian Stubbs, Makayla Little, Makenzie Little and Landes Little. He is also survived by three great- great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hutchinson Funeral Chapel (300 E 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Journey Mennonite Church (808 S Poplar St, South Hutchinson, KS 67505).
Memorial contributions are suggested to Mennonite Friendship Communities and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
