Mehl (Debora), Connie Lynn Bohringer of Hutchinson and Pamela Joy Conklin (Christopher) of Sanford, NC; her stepchildren, Michael Mehl (Cassie), Mathew Mehl, Lester'Tra'Cape (Angelica), Christopher Cape (Crystal), Adam Cape and Breia Venegas (Mario); her grandchildren, Lorenzo Bohringer (Adrienne), Mikel Bohringer (Chelsey), Shania Green (Spencer), Jonathan Conklin (Brooke), Joshua Conklin (Rikki) and Christopher Conklin II; her siblings, Joe Oakes (Pam), David Oakes (Ji Wone), Ellen Bill, Peggy Carter and Carol Rouse (Bobby); her siblings-in-law, Sue Oakes, Louise Oakes, Kathy Oakes and Don Mehl; her brothers, Keith Oakes, Benton W. Oakes, Jr., Fletcher Oakes and Kenneth Oakes; her granddaughters, Jacqueline Rose Conklin and Amy Mehl; and her siblings-in-law, Harold Bill, Pete Carter, Betty Beagley (Ermon) and Mary E. Mehl. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
