She was predeceased by: her father Luis Briceňo; her husband Ed Earl Ewing; her sisters, Gladys Morales, Cecilia Morales and Virginia Morales; and her pet Gino II.
She is survived by: her mother Maria Edilma Urbina; her children, Luis Ewing (Emily) and Paola Garzon Urbina (David Peňafiel); her siblings, Alfonso Briceňo, Alberto Briceňo, Emilio Briceňo, Juan Morales, Claudia Riaňo Urbina, Fanny Briceňo and Hilda Colmenares; her granddaughters, Mariana Peňafiel, Nicole Peňafiel and Hannah Peňafiel; her niece Diana Bastidas; and her nephews, Juan D. Bastidas, Diego Bastidas, Daniel Bastidas and Juan Carlos Garzon.
