She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade Nelson and Mabelle Wanita Smith (Glass); her husband Carl Balzer; her grandson Joshua John Balzer; her siblings, Merlin (Virgie Smith) and Beth Ellen (Bill Hutchinson); and her daughters-in-law, Jeanette Balzer and Phyllis Balzer.
She is survived by: her sons, Steven Lowell of Arvada, Thomas Alan of South Hutchinson and Max Lynn (Lea) of Port Richey, Florida; her grandchildren, Chadwick Balzer of Germany, Stacey Keeton (Tim) of Windsor and Jessica Balzer of Port Richey, Florida; her great grandchildren, Nick Balzer of Germany, Chaney Cochran of Louisville, Carly Cochran of San Deigo, Steven Wiswell of Sterling, Colorado, Heidi, Holly and Mayson Wiswell of Sterling, Colorado; and her siblings, Homer Smith (Esther) of Hutchinson and Donna Waddle of Topeka. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Emanuel Lutheran Church (140 E 30th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67502).
