Lester D Burns Jr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 2, 2022, at the age of 86, Lester D Burns Jr. (Hutchinson, Kansas), born in Larned, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester David and Elsie Burns, Sr. (Crawford); and his siblings, Pearl, Betty, Archie and John.
He is survived by: his wife Bettie Burns (Sinclair); his children, Cheryl Sykes (Scott), Carol Harvey, Todd Burns (Kimberly) and Raymond Burns (Katrina); and his sister Anita Smith. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He enjoyed helping others and volunteered at the Reno County Museum, Hutchinson Cosmosphere, Salt Company, RSVP, and Meals on Wheels.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hutchinson Community College Endowment Association (for Fire Science Scholarship), in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
