He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Johnson and Fern Doris Johnson (Ripple); his wife Mary Poindexter (Crawford); his sons, Lynn Johnson and Darin Johnson; and his grandson Shane Phipps.
He is survived by: his children, Denice Phipps of Hutchinson, Debbie Hash of Hutchinson, Darrel Johnson of Hutchinson and Lyndol Johnson (Lynette) of Hutchinson; and his siblings, Robert Johnson, Mary Dean, Kenneth Johnson, Doris Fothergill and Paula Matkins. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
