He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Daniel "Danny" and Thelma Elnora Thode (Drake); his stepfather George Groth; his brothers, Estel, Edward and Ralph Thode; and his stepsiblings, Marcelene Pennington and Gordon Groth.
He is survived by: his wife Letha Kay Clough of Hutchinson; his daughters, Beverly Burns (Randy) of Wichita, Jeanette Ward (Martin) of Glendale, AZ and Sherri Powell (Kenny) of Hutchinson; his grandchildren, Jennifer Boesker, Amy Jo Sellke, Nick Cash, Rachel Diepenbrock, Kelly Rolen and Grace Clinton; his great grandchildren, Brooklynn Boesker, Cash Diepenbrock and Revan Dean Rolen; his stepsister Jenese Groth of Lufkin, TX; and his sisters-in-law, Marie Thode of Hutchinson and Marlene Thode of Hutchinson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
