We bid farewell to Karen J Fager of Hutchinson, Kansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 13, 2024 at the age of 81. Karen touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Eugene and Ruth Cook Johnson; and her former husband Norman Vanderbilt. She is survived by: her husband Ted of Hutchinson; her children, Christopher Vanderbilt (Colleen) of McKinney, TX and Paula Jean Vanderbilt (Michael Benck) of Denver, CO; her siblings, Perry Johnson (Linda) of Gardena, CA and Susan Johnson of Hutchinson; her daughters, Deanna Rice and Donna Fager; her grandchildren, Kandi Rice, Becky Schreckengost (Bill) and Kaylie Irwin (Clinton); and her kitties, Jessie, Micah, Gracie and Allie. She is also survived by two nephews and many cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Hutchinson Zoo or 1st Church of God in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
