He was predeceased by: his parents, John K Loewen and Ruth L. Loewen (Rariden); his siblings, Evelyn Ratzlaff, Thomas Skipworth, Jimmy Skipworth and Patsy Skipworth; and his grandson Kyle McCoy.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie A Bender; his daughters, Debbie Wilson of Hutchinson, Diane Farney (Rudy) of Hutchinson and Donna McCoy (Kent) of Granby, CO; his grandchildren, Brian Wilson, Jeni Perko (Jack), Ami Ratzlaff (Tanner), Julie McNeil (Brett) and Megan DeCorte (Chris); and his sister Jeanette "Kay" Goodsheller of McPherson. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
