He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Cornelius and Lois Fay Tarr (Van Wye); his son Dickie Van Tarr; his granddaughter Holly Jo Hadley; and his great grandchild Ava Marie Ehret.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy of Hutchinson; his children, Deborah Herndon (Rex) of Arkansas City, Brenda Graham (Kenny) of Hutchinson, Penny Pearlman of Coral Springs, FL and John Tarr (Kelley) of Brooklet, GA; and his brother Van Tarr of Mulvane. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
