He was predeceased by: his parents, George Spitzer and Malvina Spitzer (Weiss); his stepmother Marie Spitzer; his siblings, Judith Spitzer and Jim Spitzer; and his children-in-law, Mace John, Pam Martinez and Susanne Spitzer.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Spitzer; his children, Bob (Sharon Spitzer), David Spitzer of North Haven, CT and Cathy (Joe Gluck); his children-in-law, John Martinez of Prairie Village, KS, Annette and Mark Meek of Weatherford, TX; his children, Sandra, Bill Bell of Hutchinson and Gary Martinez of Hutchinson; and his brother John (Cheri Spitzer). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
