He was predeceased by: his father John Samuel; his wife Margaret Kelley; his grandson Logan Barrett; and his siblings, John E. Barrett and Peggy Haley.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Barrett (Wendy) of Hutchinson, KS and Michelle Silas (Dan) of Nickerson, KS; his grandchildren, Connor Barrett (Logan Gitchell), Caden Silas, Gage Silas and Stefani Barrett; his great grandchildren, Piper and Skarlett Barrett; and his sister Pat Flickinger of Sterling, KS. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Cancer Council of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
