He is survived by: his wife Sharon McLaughlin; his sons, Eric Canning of Hutchinson, KS and Anthony Canning of Hutchinson, KS; his granddaughter Bailey Canning of Wichita, KS; his siblings, Jim Koon (Teri) of Nickerson, KS, Carol May of Hutchinson, KS and Kathy Phleger (Gary) of Hutchinson, KS; his nephews, Jeff May (Charity) of Elizabethtown, KY, Mike May (Gina) of Elizabethtown, KY and Eddie Koon (Betsy) of Nickerson, KS; his niece Tina Koon (Jon Rankin) of Hutchinson, KS; his great-nephews, Wade Koon of Nickerson, KS, Garrett Koon of Nickerson, KS, Tyler May, Cody May and Austin May; and his brother-in-law Terry McLaughlin of Hutchinson, KS..
