He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmett W. Hughes and Sarah Ann Hughes (Gibson); and his siblings, Michael Hughes (Lisa), Jill Crank and Barbara Clendening.
He is survived by: his children, Jaye Hughes (Connie) of Hutchinson, Julia Hughes of Kansas and Jennifer Hughes of Kansas City, MO; his brother-in-law Ted Crank; and his godchildren, Lauren Stacey Walker (Swender), Remy Ethan Kulick-Hart and Roman Isaiah Kulick-Hart.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sky Ryders Performing Arts Foundation (formerly Hutchinson Sky Ryders Drum & Bugle Corps) or Hutchinson Animal Shelter, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
