He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Frank and Agatha Nachtigal (Wiens); his son Ronald Nachtigal; his granddaughter Katarina "Kate" Cofer; his brother Virgil Nachtigal (Viola); his niece Randyln Nachtigal; and his nephew Lonny Nachtigal.
He is survived by: his wife Emily Nachtigal of Hutchinson; his daughters, Debra Smith (Gordon) of Holton and Connie Wallace (Jimmy) of Newton; his daughter-in-law Tammy Rouse (Kevin) of Wichita; his niece Becky Davidson (Bob); and his nephew Kelly Nachtigal (Gale) of Newton. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Westside Baptist Church, Gideons International, or Hospice House, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
