He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Meier and Jette Marie Meier (Buss). He is survived by: his children, Artie Meier (Teri) and Julie Meier; his daughter-in-law Joanna Meier; his grandchildren, Brandon Meier, Jason Meier, Clint Meier, Ryon Meier, Desiree Penner, Matthew Meier, Ethan Meier and Tad Meier; his sister Joyce Bliss; and his brother-in-law Chet Martin. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Gentiva Hospice or Cancer Council of Reno County and can be sent in care of the funeral chapel.
