He was predeceased by: his parents, Leah Blocher (Fairley) and Orval; his stepmother Charlotte; his wife Marie; his stepdaughter Dian Kenning Pryor; and his siblings, George, Harold, Melvin and Naida Woods Knudson.

He is survived by: his sons, Jerry Kenning (Margaret) and Mark Kenning (Connie); and his son-in-law Robert Pryor. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
