She was predeceased by: her parents, Everett Reed and Esther Reed (Chase); her husband Don; her sons, Terry Walters and Chuck Butts; her son-in-law Rick Boese; her siblings, Don Reed and Pauline Phelps; and her grandsons, Aaron Walters and Steven Curtis-Boese.
She is survived by: her sister Darline Barnhart of Tucson, AZ; her children, Brad Walters of Hutchinson, Lisa Webster (Brian) of Hutchinson, Kara Walters of Lawrence, Lorna Wyer (Mike) of Hutchinson, Alan Butts (Donna) of Puyallup Washington and Elaine Boese; her grandchildren, Angie Jones (Sean), Becky Flax (Josh) of Eudora, Brandon Walters (Elise), BreAnne Edwards (Patrick), Derek Walters, Holly Caudillo, Jeremy Caudillo (Heather) and Rickie Caudillo (Jessie); and her friend Dorce Stapleton of Hutchinson. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
One of her favorite things was attending the Kansas State Fair every year and she took pride in saying that she had only missed one fair in her life and that was only because it was shut down during the pandemic.
