He was predeceased by: his siblings, Raymond, Vernon, Patricia McGowen, Juanita Austin and Yvonne Foster; and his sister-in-law Nadine McGowen.
He is survived by: his children, Tonya (Darin Gehring), Kim (Bill Rupp), Laura (Theodore Dawson) and Jay (William Malone); his grandchildren, Adam Gehring (Becky) of Buhler, Megan Sizemore (John), Brianna Jones-Rupp of Wichita, Brayden Rupp of Moundridge, Ridge, Breckyn (Bret Schmidt) and Aspyn Dawson of Newton; his great grandchildren, Kalib, DJ, Dennis, Elliot, Karmann, Scout, Holland, Ellie, Harleigh, Lori, Kymber and Violet; his siblings, Joe McGowen and Trudy McGowen of Hutchinson; and the mother of his children Lois Scates.
