It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doug W. Wilkening of Hutchinson, Kansas, born in Goessel, Kansas, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Henry "June" Wilkening and Hilda Wilkening (Gerken); his wife Diana Remke; his children, Troy Wilkening of Halstead, Lisa Berry of Salina and Katrisha Henry of Hutchinson; his stepchildren, Scott Green, Stacey Green-Plantz and Jan Green; and his siblings, Roger Wilkening (Mary Lee) of Canton, Dennis Wilkening (Marsha) and Barbara Vogts. He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in care of the mortuary.
