He was predeceased by: his parents, C. Ray Rice and Frances Rice (Metcalf); and his brother Steve Rice. He is survived by: his wife Karen K. Hoefer of Nickerson; his sons, Britt Rice (Jesica) of Hutchinson and Chad Rice of Valley Center; his grandsons, Hunter Rice (Tatum) of Nickerson, Wyatt Rice of Nickerson, Hank Rice of Valley Center and Cal Rice of Valley Center; his stepgrandchildren, Walker Schrag (Mackenzie) of Derby, Pearson Schrag (Taylor) of Hutchinson, Carter Schrag of Hutchinson and Josie Schrag of Hutchinson; and his great grandchildren, Brinnley and Rhet Schrag of Derby.
