He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Burns and Renee Burns (Smith); and his brothers, Roger Burns, David Burns and Mark Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Burns of Hutchinson; his daughter Hannah Burns of Wichita; and his siblings, Garth Burns, Colleen Drown, Bruce Burns, Mary Marvin and Annette Nacsa. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
