He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil B. Downing and Bernice L. Downing (Smith); and his sister Charlene Lawson. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Downing (Terri) of Hutchinson; his son Darrin Downing (Abbi) of Wichita; his grandchildren, Daxton and Eastyn Downing of Wichita; and his niece Melissa Scheffe (Kelley) of Hutchinson. He is also survived by other nieces and nephews.
