He was predeceased by: his parents, Selby Meier and Betty Jean Shaffer (Phillips); and also Sandra Barnes (Titus). He is survived by: his wife Sandra Lee Titus; his son Darren Barnes (Erika); his grandchildren, Lincoln, Tate and Beckham; his child Britney Kinast (Travis); his grandchildren, Hannah and Haylee; his son Blaine Barnes (Amy); his grandchildren, Declan of Hutchinson and Conor of Hutchinson; his stepsons, Curtis Garcia (Stacey), Corey Garcia (Amy) and Jayson Garcia; and his sisters, Kathy Mullen (Jerry), Roxie Wyer (Bill) and Brenda Ludlow. He is also survived by his family and especially loved being "Papa" to his grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, March 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Elliott Chapel (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made toward this lasting tribute and future park improvements inspired by his legacy.
