He was predeceased by: his parents, John Base and Ada Base (Van Deast); his children, Christine Renee Anderson (Robert), James Jay Base and Michael Ray Base; and his siblings, Gloria Hostletter, John "Bud" Base, Barbara Smith and Gary Base.
He is survived by: his wife Diana Base of South Hutchinson; his son Robert Base of Hutchinson; his grandchildren, Erika Montoya (Randy), Bailey Base, Christopher Base, Andrea Base, Allie Base and Morgan Base; and his great grandchildren, Kynlee and Gannon Montoya.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Hospice House, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
