He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Lee and Treeta LeVelle Blanton (Cole); his former wife Shirley McGraw; and his brothers, Jarron Blanton and Danny Ray Blanton.
He is survived by: his wife Karla Frederick; his son Shane Blanton (Cassie); his siblings, Thomas Blanton (Kathi), Treeveala Blanton (Ralph), Judy Yingling (Richard) and David Blanton (Terrie); his sister-in-law Elli Blanton; his grandsons, Seth and Ethan Blanton; and his pet Susie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
