Bobby D Murrell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bobby D Murrell (Hutchinson, Kansas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 15, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurchel Murrell and Mable Murrell (Sheridan); his siblings, James L. Murrell, Betty Murrell McAulay (Walter), Patsy Murrell Hankins (Luther) and Phyllis Wright (Murrell); his son-in-law Jeff Hopkins; and his nephew Bruce Hankins.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Murrell of Hutchinson; his children, Janet Hopkins of Prairie Village and Curtis Murrell of Kansas City, KS; and his grandsons, Wyatt Hopkins of Lenexa and Garrett Hopkins of Scott City. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Elliott Mortuary (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (1602 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
Memorials are suggested to Trinity United Methodist Church, Boy Scout Troop #306, or Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
