Alva Lee Gaston Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alva Lee Gaston of Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on August 7, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Leinweber; his siblings, Don Gaston and Glenda Fern Hooker; his brothers-in-law, George Rundell and Dave Hamilton; and his nephews, Latta Gaston, Mathew Rundell and Melvin Hooker.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Cain; his children, Brian Gaston (Becki) of Chapman, KS and Lori Gaston of Spring Hill, KS.; his siblings, Arlene Gaston of Hutchinson, KS, Darla Rundell of Topeka, KS, Marilyn Hamilton of Inola, OK. and Carl Gaston (Darnell) of South Hutchinson, KS.; and his grandchildren, Levi Gaston, Emilee Gaston, Abigail Gaston, Elizabeth Gaston, Clara and Ethan Gaston.

Memorials to Alva Lee may be offered in his honor to the Turon Community Church to benefit the church's Operation Christmas Child.
