She is survived by: her siblings, James Pitts Jr. (Nancy), Judith Beacham, Edith Castaneda (Jose) and Patricia Hoffman (Mike); her half-brother Mike Pitts; her stepmother Joyce Ploog; her daughters, Michele Lynn Pitts-Zubia and Shirley Marie Pitts-Wanjau (Lawrence); her stepson Michael Johnson; her grandchildren, Carlos, Cosme, Luisa, Harry, Pedro, Christian and Wachira; and her great grandchildren, Angel and Xavian.
