He was predeceased by: his parents, Leandro Garcia and Fernanda Garcia; and his sister Guadalupe Saiz. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne; his daughters, Kimberly Kerwood (Tim), Joni Appleman and Jennifer Nestelroad (Jason); his grandchildren, Austin Perrone, Alec Perrone, Adam Perrone, Jaden Kerwood, Roman Wilkinson (Krista), Jacob Appleman, Jenna Appleman, Jackson Nestelroad (Emily) and Aidan Nestelroad; his great grandchild Chloe Nestelroad; and his siblings, Daniel Garcia (Linda), David Garcia, Rudy Sr. Garcia (Wanda), Robert Garcia (Polly), Rudy Jr. Garcia, Lucy Hood (Clifford) and Margaret Wells. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Elliott Mortuary (1219 N Main St, Hutchinson, KS 67501). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Teresa Catholic Church (211 E 5th Ave, Hutchinson, KS 67501).
