He is survived by: his mother LaVern Thomas of Hugoton, KS.; his daughter Pattie; his wife Marigail Thomas of Hugoton, KS.; his children, Marc Thomas of Wichita, KS., Elise Heger (Kirk) of Hugoton, KS., Patti Thomas of Wichita, KS. and Amanda Ruth Vaughn (Jason) of Sublette, KS.; his brother Ron Thomas (Martha) of Hugoton, KS.; his grandchildren, Hannah, Wade of Marlyn, CT and Emily; and his great grandchildren, Lyla and Sam. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

A memorial has been established for NRA Whittington Center.
