She was predeceased by: her parents, William Walter Rouse and Winifred Maureen Rouse (Corley); her spouse Archie Franklin Rooney; and her sister Ann Hazlett. She is survived by: her children, William Patrick Rooney (Jeanette) of Satanta, Ardith R. Dunn (Kent) of Satanta and RoxAnn R. Rooney (Robert Miller) of Treasure Island, FL; and her grandchildren, Jill Wahl (John), Julie Wankel (Les), Jayme Dunn (Kilah), Bret Rooney (Carlie), Jason Dunn (Courtney), Tera Barnhardt (Sheldon), Joshua Dunn, Judy and Sweatshirt. She is also survived by two step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for Satanta District Hospital.
