She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Carter and Iva Carter (Wilson); her son Gary Cox; and her brothers, Charles Carter, John Carter and Richard Carter.
She is survived by: her son Carl Cox (Nancy); her brother-in-law Herbert Lenz; her grandsons, Eric Cox, Troy Cox and Keith Cox; her great grandchildren, Shaylee Cox, Vaelynn Cox of Taylor Cox, T. J and Thayne Cox; and her great great grandchild Trinity. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established for the American Diabetes Association.
