It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dean E. Tennis of Hugoton, Kansas, born in Chanute, Kansas, who passed away on September 21, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Israel Clayton and Leona Mae Tennis (Trapp); his wife Vivian Mae Billbe; his children, Kent Alen Tennis and Kim Marlene Heinson; his grandson Edward Heinson; and his siblings, Merle Clayton Tennis, Howard Richard Tennis (Dick), Marvin William Tennis, Helen Louise Rinehart, Ruth Frances Thielen and Florence Marie Carlburg.
He is survived by: his sons, James Tennis of Rose Hill and Brent Tennis (Gigi) of Henderson, Texas. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The family would welcome memorials to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
